About the Competition
The challenge is to take photographs around the city and come up with a photo set composed of one photo for each of the 5 categories, namely; portrait, food, landscape, architecture and a 9-photo collage that will tell a story about the city’s culture.
No post-editing will be allowed, except for in-camera editing features. The Coach’s intervention will also be limited to dedicated coaching sessions during the trip and sharing of additional tips and tricks during photo walks. They will not be allowed to manipulate the Contender’s camera or take photographs on their behalf during photo sessions. Their entire journey will be shown to everyone together with the selected photographs.
A voting portal will be opened at the end of all four travels, wherein you will help us decide on who will be the first AirAsia Travel Photographer Powered by Nikon.
MECHANICS
HOW TO CAST YOUR VOTES
The photosets of the contenders will be uploaded all at the same time.
Each Contender will showcase five photographs in different categories, namely portrait, food, landscape, architecture and a 9-hoto collage that will tell a story about the city’s culture.
The public will be asked to vote for one photograph for each category.
They may opt to cast their vote for all or only selected categories.
A maximum of one vote per category will be allowed per day.
One vote per category is equal to one point. (i.e. if a voter casts votes for all five categories under one Contender, that will be equal to 5 points for the Contender.)
The Contender with the most number of accumulated points at the end of the voting period will be proclaimed as the first AirAsia Travel Photographer Powered by Nikon.
Voting is open to all Filipino Citizens ages 18 years old and above
To vote, users should take the following steps:
Log on to www.airasiatravelphotographer.com
Go to gallery page to view entries
User selects photo they would like to vote for per category
User clicks on VOTE button
A registration window will appear and user must connect using his/her Facebook account
Once user is successfully registered, his/her vote will be counted
User may vote only one time per category per day until end of the voting period and acknowledge that he/she is a resident of the Philippines
HOW TO WIN THE RAFFLE
One lucky voter from the Philippines will be selected via raffle to win free flights and a Nikon Camera. Ten consolation prizes of free flights will also be given away.
One vote is equal to one entry
A maximum of one vote per category will be allowed per day.
Voting period is from August 20, 2015 to September 5, 2015.
Winners will be announced on September 11, 2015.
